The British Museum

What? A museum dedicated to human history and culture. This museum houses an amazing collection of over seven million artefacts displaying the history of different cultures from around the world in Galleries, including the ever popular Egyptian and Greek galleries. The British Museum is also home to the Rosetta Stone. A programme of special exhibitions and daily gallery tours, talks and guided tours makes it easier to view this spectacular collection. Entry is free.

Where? Great Russell Street, WC1B 3DG. The nearest underground station is Holborn.

From the Hotel The easiest way to the Museum is by Bus. Exit the Hotel, take a left and walk straight ahead. Take a right at the first set of traffic lights onto Warwick Way and walk straight. At the second set of traffic lights take a left onto Wilton Road and walk all the way down to Victoria Bus station. From here take bus number 24 to Tottenham Court Road and walk to the museum.

When? The main museum is open from 10am to 5.30pm every day. The opening times of some galleries vary.
